Old ring from California?

This was my Grandmother’s and I think from the 50s. My Grandpa was a lawyer who represented the tribes around Needles, CA. They often couldn’t pay him, so they gifted him.

What might we know about this one?
What kind of turquoise?
How old? What tribe?

Again, thank you so much for looking! L

That’s really pretty! I’m wondering if it could be something other than turquoise like Chrysocolla (goodness I didn’t know how to spell that and butchered it, so I had to look it up ) or something. I’m not very good with other stones. If turquoise, maybe Royston or something like that? It’s a beautiful color. And that’s extra special; the background that you have about the ring.

It is a sweet little ring! I’m with @Ziacat, about the likelihood of Chrysocolla (I copied the spelling from your post😄). It could be a native silversmith, or Anglo, but a very pretty stone.
