Just a couple thoughts from years at collecting. I think the whole piece is devalued if the custom carving is broken and that’s the repair mentioned. From my experience with the exception of something like a 32nd degree gold Masonic ring, used fraternal and religious items are a hard sell and seem to have poor resale value in general. For some reason people don’t like to spend much on used religion or fraternal items. IMHO it comes down to whether you like it enough at that price to own yourself.
