Orville Tsinnie Ketoh

Since the topic of ketohs was mentioned recently, I thought I would post mine. Thought about conversion to a buckle but given the maker was Orville Tsinnie I think it should remain as he crafted it. Probably one of his latest pieces given the hallmarks.

Nice ketoh @StevesTrail! I’m with you on the decision to leave it in it’s original form. Have you considered making new leather for it?

That’s my plan @Ravenscry .

That is really cool, I had never seen a ketoh made by Orville. I do recognize that stamp work.

Yep. He probably used the same punch.

LOL, so you bought it. Had thought about it earlier, too.

When everyone was showing theirs I googled ketoh and this one came up at a fair price. Had to get it when I saw who made it.

Great purchase! Definitely put some leather on that and wear it! However I am laughing at the use of the word “medieval”

That’s the same vendor I bought all my stuff from. Most of his provided information has turned out to be wrong after our many great discussions here in the forum - it was all labeled mid 20th century Navajo … :upside_down_face:

And you know what - I like it, because 1) the vendor had nearly zero effort, so 2) he could offer a good price, and 3) we had a lot of fun discussing the cool stuff.
