To hang it on the wall, use velcro! You don’t even have to put anything on the weaving. Just use the hard side of the velcro on the wall and the wool will stick to it. I have a 4’x6’ Chief’s blanket that hangs perfectly from 6 pieces of velcro.

Wouldn’t that pull at the wool if and when you take it down? I’d be nervous to do that with my Navajo rugs. Although the one my mom kept on the floor for years held up well, but I don’t think I could do that either :laughing:

Thanks for the tip on using velcro to hang the rug, @Conni . I also want to thank you @Ziacat for suggesting a wooden hanger. Yours is beautiful! All I know is that my cat has been eyeing up this rug, so I better get it up on the wall soon :joy_cat:!

It doesn’t pull the wool at all. My rug is a beautiful vintage piece and the experts at the place I bought it suggested the velcro. They even use it on their museum pieces!

Yes, watch that kitty! I have a several draped across our couches, and she fortunately ignores them there. I have no more room on my walls.

Well thank you very much, @chicfarmer! After reading your post, I tried to research possibly getting in touch with them about the buckle, but could only find websites that sell their jewelry but no contact information for them. He is kinda cute, isn’t he :grin:?

I think your red beads could be white heart seed beads, but yours are more matte then usual (i like yours much better then the shiny type).
