Dear society, please help me with identification of this stone.
I assume it is turquoise
It’s definitely not glass or plastic (I can tell because I’ve been working with jewelry for 20 years)
it is not howlite and not magnesite - it is not similar at all. The stone contains pyrite and the blue color has clearly visible grains of different sizes, like turquoise. Color slightly distorts electric lighting - actually has zonal differences.

Necklace is vintage from 70s (probably)
This is turquoise, and really beautiful gem grade material. Color looks like Blue Gem, but I don’t think that’s what this is. Best guess is Persian.
Will add that in order to be drilled like this, turquoise is usually stablized first, although that is very difficult to discern from your excellent photos. Whether or not it’s stabilized, it looks natural. Really outstanding stuff. You really have something here.
