I know this has been discussed before, but I recently purchased a vintage cuff with the mystery profile stamp and just want to add an interesting thing I found. Here is my cuff and the mystery stamp. I’m assuming the Maker is SO, and perhaps the 77 is the year?
When looking in Hougarts, I noticed they connected the Bien Mur Shop with a profile pic stamp (in addition to their more well known mountain stamp). So I did a search for the Bien Mur shop and found this cover from their 1978/79 product catalog.
I’ve also seen the shop name without the head and the head without the shop name. I think it’s still at least a partial mystery. We should have thought to have @Ziacat or @Ravenscry take it to the Eiteljorg Indian Market & Festival to see if any older silversmiths might recognize it.
IMO it is clear that this mark is the Bien Mur shop mark, and the initials are the artists; to me what Steve found is pretty specific. It also definitely looks like the stamp is based on the painting, pretty cool. Since it is affiliated with Sandia Pueblo checking with someone there might shed further light, but my curiosity has been satisfied by @Steve’s digging.

LOL, I actually already went a little down this road. I found Charles Trujillo a little by accident (she says… on FB and saw that he had been active during the 70’s, and is from the Sandia Pueblo. I fell in love with his guitar pic pendants and purchased one. Then I sent him the above profile stamp, told him my suspicions, but alas, he did not know. (And I thought I was being so clever. ). I may have to purchase a ring from him too!
So Steve, THANK YOU! This is the closest yet! I think I’m gonna consider this “primarily” solved!
