Raw turquoise necklace - yes or no?

Raw turquoise necklace, but no info other than a few photos. What think you, experts? Worth a bid, worth a risk?

“Raw” turquoise? What does that even mean? Does it just mean unpolished?

If they mean natural, I can’t tell if that’s truly natural or not. I’m not even sure if it’s turquoise from that picture.

Natural I’m guessing but this auction is always vague. I have found treasure there but also junk.

From the photo the pieces look more like rejects that would not make decent cabs.

That makes sense why they would be strung unpolished

I think of what I heard a great philosopher once say: “nail two things together that have never been nailed together before and some schmuck will buy it from you” (G. Carlin, 1974).

Great quote. I read it to my husband to see if he could guess (he reads a LOT, and also likes Carlin); he guessed PT Barnum  He said he was thinking of his Fiji mermaid hoax.
