This is one of my absolute favorite pieces of jewelry. My dad bought it for me for Christmas 30 years ago from a pawn shop in Santa Fe. What is the style/era? Zuni, maybe? Are those makers marks on the back?

The mark appears to be one that C Levaldo, Shiprock NM, used. The name was sometimes spelled LeValdo.

Ooh! Thank you so much! That’s so cool! It totally looks like the same mark. I now live about 45 minutes from Shiprock in Cortez, Colorado, and my brother works in Shiprock. So I feel even more connected to the piece.

I did a google search and found the mark with Navajo and Acoma scratched in on either side of the CL mark. It looks like there are several Levaldos from Acoma.
