Sharing a non native artisan made custom turquoise set

Hello Turquoise people!

While this isn’t Native made, it still has American mined Turquoise in this set. It was made by a very talented lady I found on Instagram some years back.

She created this phenomenal set for me (I do love occasionally wearing big pieces, being a tall woman)

And these definitely fit that description! :upside_down_face:

She once told me the name of the mines that the various pieces of Turquoise came from, and I thought i had written it down but I can’t seem to find it. And I cant find her on instagram anymore.

Anyone with any idea of where the Turquoise might be from?

Thanks ahead of time!

Not all of the stones are turquoise (possibly rhodochrosite and mother of pearl) and I guess the turquoise are from different mines, not only one.
Very heavy but beautiful.
Esp. the megalodon tooth.

Wow! That’s some amazing stuff; what a lot of detailed work involved in those pieces. I really don’t know on the turquoise either. Kingman is the most common American turquoise out there, but I really don’t have a guess on what yours is, although to me it doesn’t look like any turquoise from China. I also love that tooth!

@gt75 yes, you are correct, the pieces include pink cobalto calcite druzy and abalone. It was made with a ocean theme. That I remember.

@Ziacat that tooth is amazing and that’s what the theme was created around and started the whole process. The artist had many stones and things to choose from and I did choose them all, but in the end, she arranged everything and I think she did a stunning job of it.

I enjoy wearing this set, as the ocean is one of my favorite places to decompress at. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thank you both!

@gt75 thank you, it is an unusaul rock/stone.
I love a variety of stones and while I adore Turquoise, and have a little bit, I like to mix with other stones for their metaphysical properties. Some people don’t believe in that, but the use of stones for metaphysical purposes goes back to ancient times. :slightly_smiling_face:
