Hi everyone. I am so glad I found this forum. I have a Terry Martinez ring and after my own research, I see his work is quite valued. My ring is different than his other pieces of work that I have found. It is somewhat “plain” for lack of a better word. There is no turquoise. Does this make it more unique and valuable…or less desirable? It is a size 9 and weighs 6 grams.
Terry Martinez is an excellent artist and makes traditional style jewelry. Even with well-known artists the material determines the cost. You will find top artists using the best stones and that drives the price, or using metals like gold. This ring would not be more valuable then one that had a stone. Terry made this ring for someone who wanted a simple stamped ring to appreciate daily. Hope this information helps.
