Southwestern Made in Mexico bracelet

Hope it is ok to post this here. It is not Native American or turquoise. But….
I was looking through some of my stuff and found this today. Any ideas on the age of this one? I could not find any marks regarding metal purity which I thought was kind of unusual for mexican jewelry. It is sterling.
As alway thanks!!

This is a lovely little cuff, and I wish I could help you, but I know nothing about Mexican jewelry.

The style of the bracelet is 1920s - 50s Navajo tourism pieces like Fred Harvey. However, this is not that era, looks like a steel wool brushed finish, the sugilite suggest modern, and I always think of that tall plain bezel as newer.

@chris Hi ~ You’ve got a very nice Mexican made cuff there. Made in a Southwestern style with amethyst cabochons, imo. Amethyst was a popular stone used in Mexican jewelry. I think it’s a little unusual, too, that it isn’t stamped for metal purity :woman_shrugging:.

I think that steel wool brush was throwing me off. I didn’t know what it was. It was part of the reason I couldn’t tell if it was older or newer. Thanks!

Thanks! I think the stones are amethyst too. I sometimes can guess if Mexican jewelry is older by what kind of purity stamp they use. Like if it says silver it is usually older. I love Mexico handmade silver. Especially the stuff with real stones or nice silver work.
