Hi there! This ring was purchased for me in Phoenix, Arizona in the summer of1976. Some of the turquoise inlay has fallen out during the years, the coral appears to have survived better! I am curious about the artist Hallmark & any information is most welcome!
It is an interesting hallmark. From my understanding chip inlay was booming and Tommy Singer was employing friends and relatives to keep up with the demand. It seems like the shop was in Holbrook? One of the guys from this area is Charlie John. He would have been young in the 70s, but old enough to be making jewelry. I will ask him next time if this is him.
Hey Jason, we did of course visit Holbrook during our 3 years there. After a phone call with my sister last evening, we both recall that the ring was purchased in a small store in the Metrocenter Mall. Possibly a store with Native Handicrafts? Both of my sisters selected the Hopi wedding bands. One was coral & turquoise inlays, the other just turquoise. Thanks again for your assistance!
