Squash blossom help

Is anyone familiar with squash blossoms? Anybody seen one similar to this? I have never seen one with the naja attached to the necklace in such a way. I’m curious as to how new this piece may be and it’s origins.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

It is not the way you usually see it done. However, it could be someone that hasn’t made one before, experimenting. I don’t get a real close up of the piece, have you checked if it is sterling silver?

Hi Jason.
This is not actually my necklace but one I am interested in purchasing. The woman has stated as follows;
Ive had it, like 20 years, bought it in a group antique shop, so I’d say it’s 40-50 years old which makes it vintage, but not antique. It is of course sterling and turquoise, they said it was Sleeping Beauty turquoise, but Im always dubious as to how anyone knows which mine is which( Ive been buying and studying turquoise since I was a kid, and I still have no idea) but I can say with confidence it is American Southwestern turquoise.

Also… this one is mine… any idea on what mine it might look like? Could this be dry creek? Its quite light… it looks even paler in person.

The necklace you started with is not 40-50 years old. The beads are either sterling silver seamless or plated. Yours is very nice, Persian Turquoise.
