Sterling Silver Turquoise Insects

I believe this is Native American made. Anyone know what this may have been a part of? There is no bale so not sure what it may have been originally.

“I gotcha!” Said the spider to the fly…
Not seeing anything that looks like an attachment point I would say it is simply what it looks like.

Yeah, I’ll just go with knick knack.

Could it have been a shawl clasp?
When I lived in Cinle, AZ in the 1980’s many of the Navajo Grandmas wore a woven shawl with a similar clasp.
They would have a piece of Turquoise/silver jewelry with a few chain links between. The ends would be put through the shawl.

Thank you @fernwood! Quite possibly.

So unique! Yep, “gotcha”. Haha. I think it would be a lovely shawl clasp; that’s a great idea. However, I don’t see any type of hook or any indication where any finding or hardware ever was or broke off, so if it ever served any purpose in being worn in any way, I don’t see how it was used.

Love it, though…very different from other NA insect pieces!

No hooks, clasps or bale. There doesn’t appear to be any broken off chain links either. It is a cute piece.
