Stone ID

I know it’s not likely turquoise but this large stone ring was made by the Navajo artisan, Eugene Belone. Does anyone have an idea what kind of stone this is? Thank you.

You imagine it should be turquoise, but it definitely looks a little like serpentine.

another possibility would be Ireland’s gem, Connemara marble

Both seem like possibilities as I look at them. Thanks for the help. I think how interesting that Belone might use stones so far from home. But why not?

Connemara marble is a type of serpentine, as I read about it. Have looked at many photos of the stone. Much Connemara is pale green and spotted. I believe you guys called it.
