Surprise anniversary gifts from my hubby that i was excited to share. I tried making a post earlier so if this is a duplicate, I apologize. I was just excited too share. One cuff straight from Zuni with snake eye rows and the other a gorgeous piece from perry null with my very first golden hills stones. I love them both as they were a 21 year anniversary gift. My hubby is the sweetest and had great taste. Any way, I hope y’all have a wonderful day! And I appreciate you taking a look!

Sorry, I don’t know how or why my post was duplicated. I’m still learning. :woman_shrugging:

Also, here is what I bought for my hubby for his birthday/ anniversary. I be been trying to find out anything I can about it. I have been told that is anywhere from the 1960s to 1990s. If anyone had an info I would really appreciate it. Is it cast? Is it old? Is it NA? I want to know that I paid an ok price. Thank you in advance. I appreciate all your knowledgeable contributions!

@TyBo83 Happy Anniversary! Your cuffs are beautiful. I’m especially drawn to the Golden Hills cuff - that turquoise is gorgeous. Your hubby has excellent taste in NA jewelry.

Happy anniversary! I especially love that Golden Hills cuff. And I’m thinking the one you got your husband might be a Harrison Jim cuff, and yes, that one is tufa cast. I just bought one of his pieces and posted on it here a few weeks ago. He has a couple different hallmarks, but I’m pretty sure one of them is just the capital “H.” When I get home I can look it up for you. The cuff you got your hubby really reminds me of his work. Love it!

Thank you so much for the information! If you have any other info like how much it would be worth it what time frame it is, I would really appreciate it. I’m trying to learn all I can about it but there is nothing even similar online from what I have seen so far. I really appreciate your quick response! Have a lovely rest of your day!

I’m referring to my husbands piece. But if you know anything about the others as well, I’m all ears! Thank you so very much!

Here’s the info I have in my hallmark book about him. He is Navajo, and appears to have been working since the '60s. So there’s really no way of knowing exactly when the cuff was made.

Often single letter hallmarks are hard to attribute, but I have looked into his work quite a bit since I recently bought one of his pieces, and he does sometimes use that single capital “H.” And like I said above, your husband’s cuff reminds me of his tufa cast work. As far as giving you value I am not comfortable with that (most of us on here are not), because I am not an appraiser. I would suggest you look online to see what his items are selling for. The price often varies depending on where it’s being sold. Try googling Harrison Jim tufa cast cuffs.

Here is link to YouTube interview of him that might interest you.

This cuff from the Ellis Tanner Gallery reminds me a bit of the one you bought for your husband. I would say their prices run higher than some stores, but it can give you an indication.

Be aware when you’re looking online for his work, that there is also a Navajo artist named Jim Harrison, and they are two different people -very confusing

I just added a link above to a cuff that reminds me a bit of your husband’s. That store has a whole bunch of his work. I got mine at a different place in Bluff, Utah. I had visited there last year, and could not make up my mind between two cuffs, and ended up leaving the Harrison Jim cuff behind. Fortunately they still had it, and I just ordered it last month!

Yes! I can see where you think maybe they are made by the same person! That is the only one so far that resembles my cuff at all. I’m so glad that it was still available and you got to purchase it!

You bought it at Ellis Tanners? I’m from Gallup and my mom has been best friends with 2 of the Tanner daughters, one whom just unfortunately passed. I actually used to work there doing taxes. Small world!

Thank you so much! I am drawn to it also. The color is so beautiful and in contrary with the matrix, ahhhh! I love it so much! Yes, my hubby has great taste. Although, I’m sure even if it wasn’t my cup of tea, I would still love it since he picked it out.
