Taxco stone ID

Hello. I am not familiar with this stone in these Felipe Martinez Taxco earrings. There seems to be some pyrite inclusions. Any ideas? Thank you!

It looks somewhat like Picasso Marble.

Thanks, fernwood. I can see it maybe being Picasso marble, the general look of it. However, cant see anywhere in pictures online picasso marble with so much blue. I wonder if perhaps Martinez’s workshop called Piedra y Plata-silver and stone- may have dyed picasso stone to get these colors. Perhaps they were creative this way. Hmm

Some has lots of blue.
I saw a thumb of a FM bracelet with a similar stone in it. Could not access the web page, as it required a paid subscription.

I saw something that said he only did jewelry for a couple of years. For only making jewelry that long, I sure found a lot of his jewelry being offered for sale.

Thanks for looking around for this listing with the blue stone. Appreciate knowing picasso stone is blue as well.

Yes, he seemed to be very busy in the few years he was creating jewelry.

What does FM stand for when you said FM bracelet?

Maybe something like serpentine, possible variscite?

The pattern in the stone really does look like the blue variscite you posted, Jason. Most variscite I have seenonline looks like turquoise. It seems to be a rock of many colors and variations.

Yes, variscite is a possibility.
I have some pieces of it. The colors range from a pale, mint green to a bluish turquoise.
Mine does not have much veining in it.
