Correcting a doofus mistake , I was looking at the J Coriz pendant and that’s what I meant about the possible waffle planting imagery toward the bottom. I didn’t realize y’all were discussing the fabulous ring! Waffle withdrawn.

I’m going with @Steve’s sea otters/whatever.

 now I have to go back and look at the pendant.

At least I didn’t think what’s on the pendant wings is an escalator

Well, thanks for setting the record straight. Last night I went down a wee rabbit hole researching Zuni waffle gardening :slightly_smiling_face:. Those gardens are making a comeback. I learned about something I’d never even heard of before.

My hubby got all excited when I said something about waffle gardens

Love your ring, @OrbitOrange! I think I need one just like yours, it reminded me of my few corn motif pieces…I hadn’t remembered my Joseph Coriz pieces😊

And there’s a ton of those chickens, sea otters, or whatever:laughing::rofl::laughing:
And the only other pieces I can think of…Pendant by Anthony Lovado, and earrings by his son, Joel Pajarito:

It’s interesting that this maiden, made in 2002, has what appears to be a gold drop on her tablita! Don’t think I’ve seen this before (?).

Sea otters…too funny😂. I’m going with meercats…they’re actually pretty cute (but so are otters!)

@Bmpdvm Beautiful jewelry! Thx for sharing. The necklace in your first photo: did you request that unique closure, or is that Mr. Coriz’s original design? I haven’t seen a closure like that before and, I really like it!

@Patina, it was like that when purchased. As I recall he had one or 2 pieces with a similar closure when I saw him at the 2023 Santa Fe Market. I think it’s a fairly recent style. I purchased mine in 2020.

Yes, thank you. The large stone is turquoise, although I have misplaced the mine.
Thanks for the book info!
