Hi all :grinning: I purchased this because the letters have personal meaning to me and I thought it was kinda cool. It’s about 52 grams. Not sure if it’s native or age. I couldn’t find any markings. I think it’s a lid to a trinket box. Thanks for letting me share.

Very nice.
It reminds me of a snuff box lid, depending on size.

Thanks so much Stracci  The chip inlay is what drew me to it.

Thanks Bmpdvm  I am drawn to the unique pieces, even though I have no idea what they are.

Very nice find. The pull for me is the chip inlay initials. I’ve always been drawn to jewelry with initials, names, and/or dates.

That is charming – and if the initials are a good match for you, so much the better! It truly is unique and the turquoises are the cherry on top. Any plans for it? I uppose you could look to have a box body made for it, or perhaps put a hook on the back and turn it into a pendant

Thanks so much Patina  The initials were a perfect match for my grandson. He had a really, really rough start and I’m just so thankful he is growing and thriving. So when I saw it, I had to have it. I have this sitting on my desk next to his picture

Thank you so much chamekke  I thought about a pendant too but it would be cool to use it as a lid if I can find a little container that fits. It’s just a bit too small for a little mason jar I have. I’m hoping I come across something.

ok great, no threads to deal with, here is what I would try.
start hitting the glass aisle in your local thrift with the lid in your pocket.
I constantly see loads of clear glass, pressed glass & high end barware/drinking glasses crowding the shelves. eventually you may find the perfect match.
