Especially love the lady leading the sheep.
I’m still trying to figure out in the painting further down what the little black and white horse (?) is exactly. It’s got some giant ears. A mule?

I think it’s a young donkey who hasn’t grown into his ears yet.
These are olla bearers carved from cottonwood by Jacob L. Warner, Laguna pueblo. Each is wearing some nice jewelry
I bought this recently at a local consignment store. Paid $15 for it and the sales ticket stated, “Remington print”. I was just drawn to it. Is the guy a cowboy or a Scout? I’m thinking the solid wood frame could be original. It’s pretty scuffed up, too. The glass took me about 45 minutes to clean - looks like it had been sprayed with something years ago, but never wiped. Stubborn marks on it. Two areas of the image look like they have raised paint - not flat . Lots & lots of these Remington type images
for sale online but, I haven’t yet come across this specific image. That might not be a good sign, lol.
I love it! Remington is one of my favorite artists. I’ve got a book on Remington, so when I get a chance later I’ll try to see if your print is in there. If I had to guess, I think he’s a scout. But I have no clue if I’m right on that!
Saw this painting at Legacy Gallery in Scottsdale and thought of this thread.
Huihan Liu, Family Time
I just saw this wedding cake posted on Facebook. Wow. I left the artist’s info at the bottom to give proper credit. (I don’t know if the baker is Native American or Anglo.)
That’s awesome!!! Need 20…
I subscribe to Dr. Mark Sublette’s YouTube channel, and this was on there tonight. I think we’ve talked about this artist on here before; I love his painting (um, and his accent).
Mark Maggiori also fits in the turquoise fashion section. Besides you guys got to appreciate Kacey Musgrove in another thread, so I uploaded this here for the ladies… And, hey! He’s French, my husband’s family is French descent, so I gotta like that
Huge Maggiori fan here! I believe this might be the only painting he has created with Indian jewelry.
Brother By Blood, 2023.
I was thinking you were. I had never seen his artwork till a couple years ago when he was featured in Arizona Highways. That painting is amazing! It really has the feel of both a painting and a photograph. I love it!
Feel like I’ve seen that one, like maybe it was in the AZ Highways issue. I’m going to have to look and see if I saved it. His work is incredible.
Yes! Mark Sublette!
I follow him on Instagram.
His posts are always so interesting and informative!
