Turquoise Artwork

This thread is a spin-off of Turquoise Celebrities and is for any medium in the world of art that illustrates or features its subject wearing Native American jewelry. For example, one of my favorite Western artists is the late Ray Swanson, whose primary focus was painting Indians of the Southwest.

Here are a few examples to get this art show started. Looking forward to seeing more! :slightly_smiling_face:

Ray Swanson, Old Man And His Land

Dennis Ziemienski, Trail Through the Valley

John Hampton, The Navajo

Susan Kliewer, The Dance

When I saw this plate I had to get it.
The girl looks just like the daughter of the person who babysat my daughter in the 1980’s in Chinle, AZ.
It is from 1989. Ray Swanson.

Last one…“Appeal to the Great Spirit” By C. E. Dallin. Or at least I would think the necklace was turquoise and claw.

Saw this Navajo Yei painting at Hubbell Trading Post in 2019 and dang near bought it. I snapped a photo and now it’s my phone wallpaper. Unfortunately, I can’t remember the artist’s name.
