No reprimand from me, @Ravenscry! All I’m seeing is some good looking artwork and some Plains Indian German silver concho belts.

The image of Dorothy Brett’s painting is from the May 2024 “Western Art Collector” magazine. The photo of the young woman is from an online post by Native American Arts. Photographer name not provided; credit given.
I know that statue! Back in summer of 2020 we drove to SD and WY, and stopped at that rest area just to see her!
@TAH Wow, just wow, is right! Exceptional bolo ties. Looks to me like he also used some gorgeous Bisbee cabs in these creations. I’d buy those 2 Owl katsina bolos in a heartbeat.
Beautiful, stunning work, Tom, thank you for sharing!
The background stamp work on the first one reminds me of a Kenneth Begay buckle I’d seen recently…
Here is a painting by my favorite artist of all time. Not only do I love her work, I love her too because this artist is our wonderful daughter.
Untitled, 2020
That’s amazing!! You should be proud of her, and she should definitely be your favorite artist Is she studying art and /or working as an artist?
Thank you for sharing your daughter’s beautiful painting, Tom, this is great! She’s most certainly talented, and well deserving of a place of honor in this thread.
Thanks Zia! She is self taught and mostly paints for herself, family, and friends. Her artistic talent comes from a meticulous eye for detail, tons of passion, and a beautiful mind.
Thank you, Aaron!
Because of the angle that photograph was taken, I can feel the weight of his squash blossom necklace in my head. Good stuff, Aaron!
Crazy, when I first saw the photo, I thought the same thing, as the naja looks incredibly thick (I’m sure it is regardless), but it’s magnified by the angle of the photo. It’s certainly a beautiful example!
Mr. Tom definitely has an astute eye for adornment…reminds me of another gentleman I know that goes by the same name…
Another argument (in my mind only, not so much in the real world) for 4-petal blossoms being the early and premier type in squash necklaces. It’s a tiny but raging debate between 4 and 3.
Indeed! When I was counting the petals this morning, I thought of you and the 3 vs. 4 debate.
I’ve enjoyed seeing everyone’s contributions here and am learning quite a bit about the art! Especially love the pictures with horses in them. I guess I’m always going to be a sucker for horses.
This is a small painting that I bought for my son at a craft stand somewhere in virginia. The artist signature on the back says E Hayne. I loved the turn of season that the painting depicts and the pops of color with the tipis. It sits on my son’s dresser most of the time but Shadow loaned her butt as an art stand for the purposes of this photo.
