I bought this online. No size, took a chance, way way way too big for me, so I am going to have to resell it. Very disappointing. One of my biggest hurdles for me is how to tell when something is really old. The turquoise has a neat pattern, is darker around edges, lighter in centers of splotches. The silver feels heavier than my other stuff and this is going to sound weird, but just feels really nice against the skin. Totally unmarked, not stamped sterling. What kind of turquoise is it? How old do you guys think it is? What would be a fair price to ask for it? Thanks!
I would venture to say that this is an older piece. I say this because the rolling log went out of favor with most NA artists during WWII. I’m having a difficult time determining the size of the stone, but I would have this in my shop around $135-$165. The turquoise is beautiful but I particularly like the subtle rolling logs.
It is a confusing piece. Bigbree is right, the stamping makes you think of those older tourist designs. However, those old pieces are many times a punch out or at least down on a plate. This bracelet is two half-round wires which suggest newer construction. Also, the stone looks like it could be a piece of water web Kingman what makes us think more contemporary. I like the price Bigbree gives. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks it was the stone that got me. I will sadly throw it back out there. I liked the design between the wires too. Thanks guys!
Good catch Jason. I totally agree now that you’ve pointed it out!
