Turquoise inquiry

Anybody have an idea what mine this turquoise might be from? Thanks in advance for any ideas on ID.

This is a piece of Chinese turquoise. Chinese turquoise will often have lots of black matrix with “windows” of color just like this. The pendant setting also makes me believe that this is a chinese made piece of jewelry

Thank you. I sort of thought, and feared, as much. Is Chinese turquoise substantially less valuable and valued than American mined turquoise?

Thanks Steve. Informative article. Some of Chinese stone examples posted are very pretty. I see in my travels about the internet that some Native American artists utilize Chinese turquoise in their pieces, which makes my understanding of the worth of Chinese turquoise even more complicated, and interesting.
