Hi there. I found this brooch which has what I think is pyrite. Its a deep blue color. I did an image search and didnt see similar. When I searched for blue turquoise with pyrite some suggested Morenci. Any ideas? Thanks! Lin

Could be. Also looks like possible Ithaca Peak to me with the big chunks.

I have not seen pyrite chunks that large before.

I have seen it in some Ithaca Peak turquoise, I think in some Morenci also. Here’s just one example.

When I looked up Ithaca Peak turquoise it was mentioned the pyrite is dark or brassy color. This brooch stone is more golden. However the Ithaca Peak peak does look golden in the photo.

It isn’t always like that; I have a ring with Ithaca Peak that has teeny tiny flecks of gold pyrite. I had read it’s often more goldish. So just depends.
