Unidentified Makers Mark on old Necklace

I cannot find this mark anywhere. I was told it was bought in Arizona on 1977.

I found a similar mark in Hougart’s book attributed to a Rick Morrow. He doesnt have any information on the artist, and I couldn’t find anything on the google. It is a really cool piece. I would call the style Navajo, but if someone told me a non-Native made this piece I wouldn’t be shocked because of that mark.
