Value and authenticity please!

I have what I believe is a Concho belt. My mother gave it to me and I am just trying to figure out what I have. It was purchased in Sante Fe New Mexico about 35 years ago. I’d also like to know what the value is. The price on the inside of the buckle was on it when my mother got it. I can’t tell what the stamp is my eyes are bad. Hopefully my photos will help. Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

A quick search yielded comparable belts. The example below was presented as ca. 1970’s and had sold on Etsy for $695. It appears to have the same, somewhat generic, hallmark as yours, “VW”.

The listing title contained “Native American”, “Navajo”, and “Artisan”. In my humble opinion, this appears to be the work more commonly seen of the last descriptor than being Native made. But these are just my thoughts.

Thank you for you response. I had seen the one on Etsy. I will hopefully be able to sell it.
