Hi, I’m thinking of buying this John Hartman ring, currently they’re asking 350$, what would you say is roughly its real value? I’ve seen some really epic Hartman rings go for a lot but….the bisbee here is great though.
I would say if it’s in your budget and you love it that’s not too much money. I have paid slightly more than that for a couple Navajo made rings with beautiful large natural stones that weren’t even Bisbee.
I don’t know exactly what to say about value, but well made rings with sterling silver and natural beautiful stones go for quite a bit of money, and his work is well known and not cheap. I didn’t dig very deeply, but most of his rings seem to be within that price range.
I agree with @Ziacat . John Hartman has some beautiful Bisbee and they seem to do very nice work. He has also been very nice with answering some questions I had about pieces I own. I think it’s a lovely ring.
This is apparently normal retail pricing for them. Pretty stone and silverwork.
Yeah maybe I’ll email him myself ha. And ya know I didn’t see any rings this large on his website, but I can say he would probably be selling the stone by itself for quite a lot, given his prices for bisbee (esp this dark stuff, and I *think this stone is natural…)
