I’m thinking of buying this buckle. When I look up the artist, I don’t see where they were known for making buckles like this. The owner says the stamp says, W. Yazzie. What would something like this be worth? I’m new to native artist work and trying to learn to help me not get suckered.

@Red5 Hi & Welcome. That’s a nice vintage belt buckle. Looks like it may be sand cast. This info is from Bille Hougart’s book on Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks. It’s unfortunate that there’s no first name shown for this listing.
However, the individual’s hallmark is W YAZZIE. The 1970s could be about right for the buckle, imo. I’m not an appraiser so I can’t speak to the buckle’s value.

Thank you. Yes, I’ve seen other buckles by the artist, but this one is very different from the styles I saw. So, just curious about it.
