Welcome to Turquoise People. It is just a design that was made to look similar to a traditional squash blossom. The technique was casting and would not be able to duplicate. The naja has what is often referred to as healing hands. In the Native American the fan is an important symbol, you could possibly make that connection. Medicine men make the sand paintings in ceremonies and I always think of this style representing those hands.
