What does VHC inside of a triangle mean?

I have some sterling earrings that have a sticker on the back that has a triangle with VHC inside. I have seen this mark stamped in other sterling pieces. What is this symbol.? Is it an artist signature or something else?

judging from the styles of jewelry found with this hallmark I get the feeling it is some sort of wholesaler

have seen many sellers call it Zuni artist, Vidal Chavez but I cannot verify that in Hougarts book
