What is this little thing?

Very creative :grinning: I will definitely try that too. So many great ideas to try

Right, I think this was the seller we referenced regarding one of my cuffs (we were trying to figure mine out); they were claiming it was made by him and wanted a huge amount. This one appears to be signed at least?

Only thing is I would be careful with is that the one on your necklace doesn’t slide off. Mine fits really well through the links, but it doesn’t have a big opening.

When I was in high school my mom gave me a turquoise and silver barrette, but it wouldn’t hold my hair at all, so I gave it to my niece. What I need is a banana clip in silver and turquoise

Definitely, I ended up putting two thick jump rings on the hook and closing it all the way. I was so worried about it coming off that I wouldn’t wear it. It’s really secure now

I used to have two sterling barrettes, Navajo made.
I used to wear them all the time. Then I cut my hair short, and didn’t need them and I sold them.

Now my hair is long again and I’m kicking myself for selling them!

i wore mine on my wedding day nearly 29 years ago! cut all my hair off when it was long enough to sit on and was so heavy it gave me migraines. now it’s finally just long enough on top to put a bit of it in a barrette again, i got my barrette out and cleaned it up and am wearing it today.

I always wondered about that with people with really long hair. Both my sisters have dreads and I can’t even imagine but I guess they are used to it.

I think we’re all right… That that little thing has several purposes… as jewelry and hair ornamentation! You could probably also use it as a Christmas ornament if you wanted to. :evergreen_tree: I have a whole tree that I do in silver ornaments, including some of my pendants (and I wear some of my ornaments).

That cone style hair clip is really innovative! I’ve never seen such a thing.

I have some beautiful Sterling barrettes, but my hair is so fine and thin that anything other than a small jaw clip sometimes slides out! I really need to revive these beauties that I found in my drawer.

The two on the right are Native American made as is the tiny beaded one, but the abalone one is Mexican.

So pretty, I adore the two on the right. The horse one is my fave. I have thin hair too, so I put my bun on top so I can wear a barrette

They are all lovely!
Now I really really want one!
(…running off to the pawn shops to search for one…)

Very pretty Stracci :grinning: I saw a couple online today like this, I’m gonna have to get me one for sure.

I dug this out of my drawer today. It used to be a pendant that broke and the maker turned it into this. Trying to figure out a way to wear it in my hair. Any suggestions?

If your hair is fairly long, you can can braid it, wrap in a low bun, and then use long french hairpins and pin it around with the main part of the bracelet (I assume it’s a bracelet?) at the top of the bun. edit: pushing the hairpins through all the circular bits to secure it around the braid/bun.

Thanks so RedlandMaggie :grinning: Yes it’s a bracelet I’m gonna take the bracelet part of and see if I can put a hair tie on the ends. I have to get some tomorrow. If it works. We will see. I love a good French braid and a bun btw
