Hello, As part of an estate, I acquired a few old Navaho rugs. Most of them date to the 1920s. This is one that I need help on. What is the design and approximate value? Measures 79" x 41". Outside of some minor fraying on the edges, it is in good condition. Thanks so much, David
It appears to be what you say it is, a Navajo Whirling Log weaving. From size and picture appears to be a runner, you have some natural wool and aniline dye. Looks to be in god shape, without having the rug here and going from the picture I would put the piece around $2500 - $3000 retail.
Hello Jason and thanks for your prompt reply. I very much appreciate the information. Any idea as to what part of the reservation this runner came from. Thanks Again, David
