Hi everyone. I’m new here and just being to collect Native American jewelry. My name is Eva and I’m a member of the Choctaw Apache tribe of Ebarb Louisiana. I’m trying to find out who my my squash blossom necklace. When I got it out to take pictures of it beads flew everywhere so it’s in need of repair .
Does anyone else have thoughts on this turquoise? Looks a little bit like block to me, but but maybe it’s just the picture; there may be bits of matrix that I can’t see, and sometimes I have trouble with being able to tell if the clear blue no matrix with no obvious color change turquoise is legit.
It would be nice to see the Turquoise, the front and the back closeup in the sunlight. Sometimes there are pieces simular with like maker’s marks that haven’t been identified. Materials and craftsmanship may help further the search.
Not sure if yours is Stamped NC or NG? Here is a simular unidentified blossom with beautiful coral stones marked NC.
Wow, that squash really does look the same, and appears to have the same hallmark. However, I take everything they have with a grain of salt. They’ve got a lot of wrongly labeled products, and charge ridiculous prices (which of course they always slash). On here we kind of have an ongoing joke about this site, and the descriptions that they use. Doesn’t mean they don’t have legit jewelry, but they label things wrong, and the prices are always way, way too high.
Some better pictures of the beads and the turquoise would help.
