The pendant is 2 ¼” long.
I had the cabochon for many years before deciding what to do with it.
Now I have to make a woven black leather cord with a copper clasp for it.
I tried to get a better photo that shows the true color. In addition to amethyst color ranging from very dark to light, there are some pale yellow areas.
Yesterday I made a cord for the pendant. It is braided leather from Thunderbird Supply.
I usually put wire wrapped and more intricate pendants on leather cords. To me, metal chains often distract from the beauty of the pendant.
I like a plain silver (or gold, silver, or bronze) neck ring for pendants. Normally it’s a low key oval ring, but this is a recent “fancy” one. Sorry for blurry pic; tablet apparently does not take good close-ups.
Turquoise is Kingman; got this as a gift for my mom at The Palms in Albuquerque.
handheld = blurry unless tablet or phone has image stabilization. simply tapping to shoot will cause a blurry result.
tablets & phones also have a minimum focal distance. your mileage may vary, check specs.
grainy = low lighting with no flash. get near ambient light or selfie ring
place tablet or phone on table/steady surface. stand in a well lit area. set for selfie mode with verbal command (cheese mode ) when everything looks good looking back at you on the screen freeze and say cheese
Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to work with that a bit next time I use this tablet for pictures. Normally I use my phone, and I’m pretty Adept with that one, but the tablet is a few years behind the capabilities of the phone, I think.
Definitely was a low light photo that I probably should have gone somewhere else to take a picture of. That was problem number one of many.
