I have this one. I have a collection of books on Women of the West that I bought years ago for our daughter - since so much history is slanted towards the male experiences. One book is a collection of pioneer diary entries, and absolutely heartbreaking if they refer at all to losing a child along the Oregon Trail and other hardships.
I hope they are modern. I have some antique books about women and for the most part they are portrayed as happy, subordinate slaves. Most written by men “of the cloth” of course.
