Would you buy this as-is?

Hello again everyone. I have this beautiful turquoise bracelet with what appears to be tool marking on the surface of the stone, some superfine lines near the bezel (not really cracks- maybe at time the stone was place in its bezel), and some white markings (residue maybe?) on the center matrix. Would this condition stop you from buying it? And if so, is there anything I can do to restore the full beauty of the stone? I have no experience doing any stone work, and have no one I trust to do it either. I’m looking into lapidary classes at my local gemologist society, but until then I need to make decisions as to what I can sell. Since I’m doing consignment, my prices are closer (a bit lower) than retail, but definitely not wholesale. Considering my prices, I want to offer the very best quality pieces I can find, but it’s so hard to find vintage, pre-owned pieces in perfect condition. :frowning:

I would not, but the cuff is not really my style, so I’m not sure what I would do if it was something I loved. I think I would still pass. I have bought jewelry with cracked stones, and have not had problems, but this almost looks like it could crumble. To me it also takes away from the look of the stone more than a crack would. As far as fixing it, I have no idea. I had a cracked stone fixed at Palms Trading in ABQ a few years ago. You might also contact Perry Null in Gallup, because they do a great job with repairs, although not sure about this.

No one can answer your question if you fail to disclose the asking price.

I didn’t fail to disclose the asking price. There isn’t one.
Maybe I wasn’t very clear about my questions, so my apologies. The first question was about the stone being sellable in as-is condition, not about the price. My second question is about possible repairs, which is why I chose this topic. There’s no price yet because it’s not for sale. I don’t even know if I am going to sell it yet, as it’s not mine, hence my question here in regards to the flaws being too much of an eye-sore (or not). I would sell it on a consignment basis. My shop isn’t even up yet. I have no idea what I would ask for it, if I decided to add it to my inventory- hence my first question: Is it sellable as-is?

Thank you for your honest opinion. I really don’t like the white stuff in the center. It’s such a beautiful stone, but that really bothers me more than the tool marks.
