I am new here but was told this might be a good place to get value and advise on selling. My Great Aunt and her husband took my mother on a western US road trip in the early 1950’s. These items were bought then by my Aunt who was a person of means. I do not know anything about the maker other than it appears to be Zuni. It seems finely made. I have not polished the items as I was concerned doing so may affect value. All the pieces are in perfect condition no broken stones. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks inadvance
You have some lovely pieces. I’m going to have to wait and let the Zuni people fill in the blanks because I know virtually nothing about Zuni. I’m the Navajo girl. But they are very nice.
Thank You for the reply. I would appreciate any information regarding these items. I would eventually like to sell them as none of my kids nor my wife have an interest. Might as well get them in the hands of someone who would appreciate them, they are well made in perfect condition. Thanks again!
Nice vintage Zuni items. Since you hope to sell and are after price info: check Sold items on eBay to get a sense of offer price vs. sold pricing. Search terms to use could be: Zuni inlay Knifewing bracelet/ring/earrings.
If you take good photos (natural light, no shadows, close up) of the individual items you can plug them into Google Images/Google Lens to search online for comparables.
Yes that was a good deal. Well thought these as a set were at least worth $800.00, on the other hand things are worth what someone is willing to pay. Thanks for the data.
Best bet is to get in touch with a dealer like Garlands, Ogg’s Hogan, or Cameron Trading. If you try to retail it yourself you’re likely to get skinned.
Thanks for the suggestions. Ill contact some of these dealers and see if there is any interest.
I live on the East Coast and a Facebook friend notified me of a very nice Cuff that Cameron had on consignment. He had actually tried it on, and it was too small. I had to talk to them on the phone because it was not on their website. They were very easy to deal with and I ended up somehow with two bracelets instead of one, but sometimes that happens. I have no idea of their terms because I was simply a purchaser, but they were very easy to deal with. You have a lovely set of jewelry and I hope you get a good price.
