I will say y’all are wizards with figuring out how to get stuff on here. I REALLY lack in the technology area. Unless you need a piece of music cut for an ice skating program, then I have that covered…
I also noticed it looks a lot more polished in my picture. I didn’t do that, it just seemed to polish up as I wear it.
@Ziacat I am also not very good at the technology parts of this. People here are also good internet searchers, too! Skillz !!
Yes, absolutely it is a magic power of silver…self-cleaning by wearing! Brushing against sleeves and hands rubbing it shines it up pretty well. Sitting in a box lets it tarnish. Another good reason to pull out all that nice silver and wear it!
Anymore buckles or concho belts? Y’all do realize these are the two most important items in anyone’s wardrobe. What could be more important than something dedicated to holding up your trousers?
Here’s one made in my workshop in 2005. Design by yours truly. Handmade in 14K Gold and Sterling, and western bright cut engraved by Harry Mike Yazzie.
I loved the design of it when I saw it. It’s kind of in the shape of a paisley pattern. The gentleman at the store didn’t know much about it other than the artist. I’ve wondered about the turquoise, but figured it was stabilized Kingman. I googled the artist, and found out he had acted in some movies. I believe I also read that he sometimes set up and sold his jewelry at San Xavier Del Bac south of Tucson.
Is yours hallmarked? I’d love to see it if you wouldn’t mind posting it!
Yes the top one is Dry Creek. The second one I don’t know but the seller thought it was from Arizona. The buffalo is Jerry Roan done in nickel silver. Then a concho belt “all the way” and lastly a bolo and buckle of McGinnis turquoise. The bolo is now my father’s.
I remember your post about the buckle and matching buckle. More shadowbox, which I love. And I had never heard of McGinnis turquoise, so of course googled and learned about it. Beautiful pieces.
