Christmas-themed NA art

In the spirit of the season, here’s a favorite piece of Christmas themed NA art  I got it from Andrea Fisher, I think one of the pandemic-era online sales to help support the artists. I have a couple ornaments too, haven’t unearthed them yet…Santa sits out year-round.

Hope others have items to share!

Initially I thought I’ve got nothin’!! Then I saw your pottery😊
This is an older set by Seferina Ortiz (1935 - 2007), part of an exceptional Cochiti potter family. This was purchased from the estate of Richard “Dick” Howard (D), a legendary Santa Fe collector of historic NA pottery, paintings, New Mexican furniture and Hispanic art, and a great supporter of NA artists.
Thanks for reminding me to pull this out!

I guess these count as holiday art, just the type that’s wearable!

I found the little silver bell earrings in an antique mall at the beach this summer. They were clip-ons that I converted to pierced, and they were exactly the non-tacky holiday earrings that I have always been looking for. They are Taxco, Mexico, and have some other identifying marks that I can’t make a lot out of. They got a lot of wear this season.

The star pendant is one that I found at my local NA shop. He said that it was a pawn piece and he was guessing the age between the 1920s and the 1940s, but stressed that he was only guessing at that! Any thoughts on age or the turquoise type?

Love those earrings! And the star is unusual

Thank you! It is sandcast and has no marks on the back. That’s what caught my eye is that it wasn’t your average ordinary star.

You’re welcome Xtina.

Other artists are using the same design but I recognized the hallmark from the set of utensils I own.
