Back in 2018 we were in Silverton, CO. There was a blacksmith shop (the owner used his blacksmithing skills to make really cool stuff) on one of the back streets. After we looked at his work, I wandered into his girlfriend’s little connected shop where she sold her handmade copper jewelry. I fell in love with this cuff. I call it one of my “Wonder Woman” cuffs I cannot remember the name of the place, because unfortunately I can’t find the receipt. I just love the colors in this copper.
I generally only wear Native American jewelry, but this cuff is one of my exceptions. Again, I remember when and where I got it, and every time I wear it I think of that.
Thank you to @Steve who found both of these links immediately for me, and to @StevesTrail who also found the blacksmith shop. I had googled shops in Silverton, and had had no luck for some reason. Thanks guys!!
Edit: Interesting. On her website she looks like she uses mostly silver, and when we were out there she had a lot of copper jewelry.
Two of my nephews who are brothers both lived in the southwest. One lived in ABQ (he had to move to DC this year for work), and the other lives in Grand Junction, CO. Believe it or not, the closest route for them to visit each other was right smack through the San Juan Mountains on the Million Dollar Highway. What a beautiful drive with the lovely little towns of Silverton and Ouray along the route. If any of you haven’t been to Silverton and Ouray, and have the opportunity, go!
