I know she was a kitty and not a person, but when they go they still leave a big hole in our hearts. And I’m so sorry about Jack.

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry you lost your sweet baby at such a young age. I too lost a cat to kidney failure, and it sucked but, at least you guys knew it was coming and were somewhat prepared. I’m sure she’s very greatful for the happy and wonderful life that you provided her.

Yes, in the few years we had her, she had a boatload of health problems, but was such a happy cat. And took her meds so well. Eventually I’ll prob get another, but I need some time. She was special.
I’m sorry you also lost one that way; our first cat died of same, but she was 18.

Kidney disease so common 
our boy drinks distilled water (all the lime quarries!) and eats some really high-end prescription kibble to keep it at bay…

Yeah, we were using the food.
We found out several years ago when she got really sick with an infection, plus she had been on Prednisone for a couple years due to IBS which makes infections more likely. But my vet said sometimes the kidneys gradually deteriorate, and sometimes they just hit a wall and crash. She was doing great, and her numbers had even gone down at the last vet check. The vet was surprised.

Zia, we lost our beloved family farm cat in June. Had her since she was a kitten. She was 22 years old (104 in human years).
I feel your loss.

Oh I am so sorry and sad to see this. 
Heartbroken for you. Even when we “know” the end is coming, it is devastating.
Thinking of you, praying sweet memories may be comforting with time.

Wow, 22! But no matter their age we still mourn them, don’t we…I keep expecting Mosi to come running around the corner.

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear about your beloved Mosi. It’s always hard to say bye to our cherished pets, they’re family. I feel like we all got to know Mosi a wee bit through this forum. I hope you & your husband can find comfort in memories of your sweet kitty Mosi. Take care.

Thank you so much, I truly, truly appreciate it.
I know I tend to overshare, but I’m not on facebook, or instagram, or anything like that so sometimes this forum takes that place a bit, and I know so many of us have lost beloved pets that you would all understand. We got to spend time today with my sister-in-law who took care of Mosi when we traveled, and we did some reminiscing. I think because this kitty needed so much care, and she was such a good sport about it, that she got a special place in my heart.
