Wow, @Ziacat , what a rainbow of beauties! I especially love the saguaro, the raven/whale, the converted buckle and that gorgeous bear carving.

Can’t remember if I asked before — is there a maker’s mark on your raven/whale pendant?

Thank you! I fell in love with that saguaro. My best friend lives on the north side of Phoenix and has 2 saguaros in her yard. They are fascinating.

The raven doesn’t have a mark, but I looked back through the bird thread (I dug out my info from the store for that ), and it is by John Lancaster. We were waiting for the ferry at Nanaimo, and found a great little store with Native art.

I loved the buckle, but it was too small for my belts, so I had someone in Albuquerque convert it.

I chuckle because that seal could totally take out my polar bear if he wanted. Somewhere I’ve got the info on who made the bear; the artist was Inuit I believe. The seal is etched with E9-156 underneath (no idea what that means). My mom had info on it, but it got lost through the years.

I love the bear too, but the seal has the cutest little face.

The raven/whale is pretty cool, because if you look at it upside down it’s a whale tail, if you look at it sideways it’s a raven, and I think, if you look at it the way it hangs on the necklace, it looks like an orca with its big top fin.

For sure, I think the raven/orca pendant is meant to be looked at from various angles to emphasize this or that transformation. Really lovely piece. Sorry that I forgot it was John Lancaster—I thought you’d mentioned before who it was by, but couldn’t find it!

And your seal sculpture does indeed have a sweet face. It looks pleasantly smooth, too. Many of these sculptures just beg to be touched.

Actually we have a wonderful Yellow lab! No cats. So far no disasters… I don’t keep any pottery within range of his ever moving tail😄.

@Ziacat oh! That saguaro…the stones are awesome! Nice collection. You have some nice pieces. Tgat raven/whale is unique, could go either way and bet a creative artist designed it that way! Looks like copper? I’d like to find a nice copper piece.

@mmrogers . As usual, your work shines! The detail and quality is simply superb. Really love that dark green one in the second photo, top right. Cerillos?

Thanks Xtina! Sure looks like Cerillos. I’d say that’s a pretty fair bet. Didn’t photograph the backs, but looking at the workmanship, either Jimmy Secatero or Herbert Begay made the pendants, maybe both.
