How do we combine and wear our Native American bling

Hahaha  He got a good laugh at that one. Thanks so much again Ziacat.

Thanks guys! It’s the Zuni Fire God, a somewhat less common but one of my personal favorite figures seen in Zuni inlay jewelry.

@CyanideRose18 yours is a bird, though I’m not sure what specific type of bird.

Great looking belt and buckle @CyanideRose18 :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks so much :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I thought I would wear a belt but now I’m buying more jeans so I can wear them more often.

Hi all! I’ve gotten caught up with life again and haven’t been able to peruse the posts and learn. However! I did go to Alabama to attend my nephew’s wedding, and was able to wear some of my NA pieces. I’m sharing a full body photo because, well….you have to see the boots! :joy: (sadly, this “mirror selfie” is the only photo I have of myself that day.)

I’m wearing my Andy Marion dragonfly cuff on the arm holding the phone, and a simple pair of dangly earrings by S. Skeets. This is how I like to wear my pieces.

You look great! The earrings are really nice! I looked in previous posts to see your Andy Marion cuff…it’s wonderful.

And the belt is divine, of course. Sweet boots!

What did the people in Alabama think of your NA jewelry? I’m always curious what people think of it outside the Southwest.

Great to have you back, Blythe. :slightly_smiling_face:

You look stunning! Your tiered dress is lovely and those boots are killer! Your concho belt is perfect, and against the dark color of the dress, is showcased beautifully. :+1::+1: This is such a classy look, and you put it all together exceptionally. :star_struck:

@Stracci Thank you! I come from a “western/horsey” family, so it was nothing new for anyone there. I think the chunky turquoise necklace I wore to the rehearsal dinner made a bigger statement :joy: And my sister-in-law has much more NA jewelry than I have, so “regular” people are accustomed to it.

@RedlandMaggie and @Ravenscry Thank you! I was trying to not stand out too much for the family photos, but we’ll see how they turn out :woman_facepalming:t3:

@Phoenix7 and @Ziacat thank you so much! My nephew wore a cowboy hat and all the groomsmen wore jeans/boots; the wedding was fairly “western.” I just tried to bring my style.

Hi, thank you @CosmicUnicorn2_WackysMom! They are custom made from Paul Bond Boot in Nogales, AZ. There are definitely other/cheaper boot makers out there, but these are okay. If you want off-the-shelf, I recommend Ariat (prefer the made in Mexico not China models), Anderson Bean or Macie Bean.

I second Macie Bean - my pink metallic boots by them are so comfy ~

@RedlandMaggie and @BlytheEcho when it’s warm I’m totally a sandal gal, but all your talk about cowboy boots made me wear my Tony Lama boots to Church this am
