How do we combine and wear our Native American bling

You look fabulous!! Cuff goes so well with the lapis pieces. That ring is pretty dang cool. And I love movie star sunglasses

Well, I’ll have to be careful…having a New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Tropical IPA right now; I’ll make sure to not spill any on my cuffs

Oops, that was supposed to go to @fernwood

Thank you! Do you mean the smaller silver cuff with no stone? It was made by Navajo Ira Custer which I bought from him a few years ago at the Eiteljorg Indian Art Market (he has since passed :disappointed_relieved:). The ring I purchased from Garland’s in Sedona, and is by Hopi Ruben Saufkie.

My sister bought us all Iris Apfel dollar store sunglasses for Christmas
every once and a while I wear them. I also have a great pair of black cat eye sunglasses that I wear - gotta zhuzh it up somehow.

I don’t wear mine every day, but I did recently sport this bracelet and ring duo. The bracelet is Zuni. I believe the ring is also.

One of my favorite date nite bauble combos is this necklace and cuff.

That’s a lot of pretty turquoise!

OK, I played a bit this morning. Typically I only wear 1 or 2 pieces, but guess I need to expand a bit:
Older, slightly tarnished beads:

Then newer, shiney beads by Cippy Crazyhorse with pendant:

One more combo I’m unsure if I like. Think I’ll remove the choker??

Ooo I love it all. That cross in the bottom photo is to die for (well, all of it is actually ). I think all three in the bottom photo look good together, but I personally would probably wear either the two turquoise necklaces together without the cross, or the long turquoise and the cross. But really I think it would look great however you choose. I’m like you, I didn’t used to wear lots of necklaces together except my small heishi ones, but I’m trying to branch out and wear more. Cuffs and rings, on the other hand, I I like to wear in larger quantities

Do you know where the turquoise is from in the pendants, especially the top one? It’s beautiful.

Also anyone please add their ring, cuff, pin, belt, etc combos, not just necklaces; wanna see how we pile it all on!

@Bmpdvm I love all of your combos there especially the more vintage beads!
Beautiful pieces!

So, there are apps for this
I use one called “stylicious” and it allows you to put your entire outfit together, switch pieces out, and better plan your outfit for the day.

Here’s a few of my outfits including accessories.
Not sure if you can see the jewelry as clearly as I’d like. I’ll post some pics later of just the jewelry put together.

Here’s the link to the information on the turquoise in the top photo. Jason wasn’t sure; maybe Chinese or Kingman. It’s such a pretty light blue.

And I’ll add acouple pictures

Goodness if I tried to use an app to get dressed for work I would bore it to death

Me: howdy app, I need to know what to wear to work.
App: what apparel would you like?
Me: ski pants and a down coat. Oh, also need my skates. And mittens.
App: let’s see, pants. You have black, black, and… black
App: hmm… what color jacket would you like to wear today?
Me: I dunno. One that goes with…black :flushed:

Seriously, you can see my life dressing choices are pretty simple although I have fun making it a bit more complicated by adding in my Native American bling.

This is me about 5 years ago with one of my little students (I did blur her face out). There’s not much room for my jewelry to show. I do believe I have a couple cuffs on under that coat.

@Bmpdvm, now I remember that thread. The stone in your pendant is gorgeous no matter where it came from.

I like to wear one “focus” piece and harmonize around it with the rest of the ensemble. So for example today I used my Kenneth Aguilar jacla necklace as the star attraction with a spiny choker to pick up on the “corns”. Earrings also echo the spiny/turquoise theme. Silver on the wrist and hand (ring is by Andy Cadman and the cuff is Orville Tsinnie) without color to distract from the core. And then there’s the trusty ranger buckle set to keep my jeans in order.

Awesome! I’m glad you showed it all. That’s what I was getting at. That ring is to die for (although it’s all absolutely gorgeous).

Yep - jeans and t-shirts are my usual blank canvas.

Choices??? Crew or v-neck? Wide leg or straight leg? Long sleeves or short? Or maybe get crazy with a real shirt with a collar? All solid colors to complement the “bling”.

You’re a very smart lady  Sometimes I might get radical and throw something special in for Church or a night out (or even a competition for my students; I can get a little bolder there, but still have to have a coat on top), but the jewelry must have top billing.

But I have a strict no jewelry ever rule with my cycling kit. Ever since I once stripped off a glove and sent my wedding ring flying across a parking lot!

I guess the app is most helpful for clotheshorses with too many choices, and no time to choose
It’s saved me on so many occasions that I’ll never be able to live without it now.

Sigh. I do love clothes, just don’t have the need for much variety. Although my husband thinks I have entirely too many down coats. But it’s what I wear 5/6 days a week, 7, if I have to go outdoors in the winter! Oh well, guess I spend that extra money on jewelry
