Yep, you can never have too much turquoise!
Oh my, that stone is leaving me feeling quite breathless! Such a beauty!
Back in the day I desperately wanted the computer app that we see Cher using in Clueless. Of course now you can download mobile apps that allow you to combine outfits – sort of – but you have to scan everything first. It’s far too much work. I want it to be effortless and fun!
I’m the same - relatively plain clothes but let the accessories zhuzh it all up. Except for my Pendleton coats and vests - lots of color there to riff off of.
@Ziacat…Ha Ha…your black, black or black ski pants…what a terrific choice! Great photo, but you do look a bit chilly! I’m also a pretty bland dresser, mainly black, white, grey, tan, coral, denim etc; stuff that lets the jewelry stand out.
@Cicadalady, Fabulous grouping…great Kenneth Aguilar jacla necklace! And now I remember…I really think collared button up shirts make a wonderful background for jewelry! And your buckle set is really nice!
Thank you @chamekke! I find it both beautiful and interesting. I can’t remember seeing turquoise quite this color blue. I feel fortunate to have found it. Wish I would have asked questions, but at that time I just bought what I liked.
In your novice collector ignorance, you picked out a great stone and a sterling setting that was just as impressive!
@Cicadalady …that ring! Love it.
All such magnificent pieces! I really like the Andy Cadman ring!
And a beautiful example it is! This, of course, is the most important part of any ensemble.

Well, sure. If you’re a simple washer/dryer pull it out, put it on kind of person then, this isn’t for you.
I don’t have that luxury for my life and career though so, this app is a lifesaver.
It also has been incredibly helpful for keeping track of the artist and type of turquoise for my pieces. I just simply can’t remember everything about each piece.
As you can see in the photo here, there is lots of background info that you can attribute to your jewelry, including the maker, turquoise and size of each piece, as well as the pieces location.
Anyway, I thought that this app would be helpful to some people like me. Take it or leave it. ![]()
Someday I really DO need something like that app to have an official record of all my stuff (I am able to remember for myself - I have a strangely weird memory, I can even remember where and when I got everything
), but for whoever inherits my stuff. Just can’t make myself do it yet. Also, I am a “simple washer dryer” person, but for me it’s not only because of my job, but also because I love fashion (my mom did a bit of modeling back in the day) and enjoy putting it together - especially the jewelry! But I understand we all have different lives.
But now that I got off topic, I still want to see some combinations that you wear (pretty please
)!
Still waiting to see your combos ![]()
Here’s one I’m wearing today. One jacla with earrings, one extra large pendant on a sterling neck cuff, 2 rings and my big ole Morenci cuff. Not too many pieces today because they are all statement pieces.
More to come ![]()
Beautiful! Really love the ring especially - is that another silver band peaking out from behind it?
The turquoise in your necklace reminds me of the turquoise in my heishi necklace that I just bought.
Yeah, it’s a really cool concho style kind of band I’ve had forever.
I don’t know who made it but, it goes with everything, and no turquoise to crack ![]()
I don’t know what mine the turquoise is in that necklace. I tested it and it’s not dyed. What mine is yours from? @Ziacat
Green turquoise day:
Jacob Troncosa slave bracelet, Chimney Butte spiney oyster cuff, King’s Manasseh ring, and some layering necklaces
Mary Tom necklace and earrings set, with an older cast pin hallmarked “PINE SPRINGS” worn as a pendant on a coverter
More gorgeousness!
I bought mine directly from the artist Lita Atencio (it’s the long turquoise one I posted up above in my first 2 pics), and she told me it was natural Sleeping Beauty which surprised me a bit due to all the matrix. Lita said she had had a limited supply of Sleeping Beauty and was running out because the mine has closed, so she definitely knows her stuff.
Gorgeous silver combo! Really unusual, and eclectic. I need more simple silver, no turquoise pieces.
Ugh, that hurt to say…![]()
I really love those 2 together, OO. So classy but still a bit edgy. And I love an all silver look sometimes.
Gosh this is fun! Y’all are my turquoise peeps…hard to find here in my hometown (except for @Ravenscry
).
Oh, I can see that being sleeping beauty! The color more so than the matrix because that mine doesn’t put out much matrixed turquoise. It’s a gorgeous piece, no doubt, and it goes with so many other blue turquoise mined jewelry!
Mine is more of a teal color. I have no clue what it is. Kingman or maybe Chinese. Just a very different shade of blue.
