Thank you for sharing your memories of your dear brother.
Whoa, awesome thread with a lot of good info. Thanks MMROGERS and my condolences.
Sorry to hear of your brotherās passing @mmrogers .
Hopefully the good memories are a comfort to you.
Of course I miss Jim, Stracci, but for me heās not really gone. We hang out in dreams. Spend hours together at times, even have adventures. Donāt really know how to describe it, but in that space, our time together is very real.
Sincere condolences for your loss, Mike. Beautiful necklace by James. So much talent in one family.
Thanks Tom. What are you up to these days? Good to see you!
We were on a family vacation in Arizona for two weeks in mid-August, then got busy with work and our new horse after we returned. As expected, got to see a ton of Native jewelry, art, and all of the magnificent landscape to go with it. Canāt beat the American Southwest. Thanks for asking, Mike!
Good to have you back! I imagine you had an amazing trip (how could you not ). And a new horse, how fun!!
You know if you bought any cool jewelry itās a rule that we must see it
We are camping in WV and cell service is spotty. I didnāt win the necklaceš However I did find this beautiful cuff currently under $475.
@here4turquoise Dang! I was rooting for you to win that J Rogers necklace.
Thatās beautiful! I like it even better!
It is wonderful that through this group Jamesā work is appreciated! Certainly a tribute to himā¦he sounds like a great person (and brother) in addition to his talent as a jeweler. I really like the Avanyu pin; and that cuff is fabulous. I see the Avanyu used a lot in Native American pottery not so much in jewelry. Itās wonderful you continue to have that closeness with him @mmrogers. Glad to know about him a bit!
Thank you. Itās like I can view somethings but ebay wouldnāt load at the campsite.
This is a photo of James snapped aboard his Sailboat shortly before he passed. Jim loved to sail, and got out there at every possible opportunity.
It is a beautiful bracelet and goes with the petroglyph theme from the other thread.
Thank you for sharing your memories of James. I hope the buyer of the necklace will appreciate it as much as we did finding out about it and his other items.
Thanks @mmrogers; wonderful picture. He looks so happy, I also think Iām seeing more than a bit of humor in his smile. He must have been a fun brother; thanks again for sharing him with us.
Here is either the same James Rogers necklace or one just like it. Iāll let you all decide.
same necklace both listings
