So this was sold to me as “Arizona Turquoise.” Anyone have any insight if it is or not? Thanks in advance!
Could it be yellow turquoise?
What is being sold as yellow turquoise is usually yellow Jasper or dyed howlite. Many retail establishments are marketing yellow turquoise. Some even say it was mined in AZ, NM, CO and NV. That most of the mines have exhausted the supply. Some say it is mined in China.

Amazing isn’t it, how many minerals take on magical healing powers once it’s discovered you can obtain a supply and make a buck off them? Even more amazing is when with the power of the dollar behind them they shape shift into other completely different minerals!
