I came across this bowl at an estate sale with an impressed bear claw by Robert Behr. I thought it was pretty cool. Just to stay on topic, I put some of my N/A jewelry in it .
Thatās really cool! Thanks for sharing. And the jewelry inside aināt too bad either Soā¦ tell us about that cuff (or any of the others also); it looks pretty awesome.
Love the bear paw imprint bowl! Is the bowl a grab and go for one money or is it priced for sale by itemš
Please tell us about your jewelry. I would love to hear their stories.
Thanks, ziacat! Letās seeā¦ the cuff is E.S. Mitchell. The spinner pendant is Cheryl Wadsworth and thereās a Naja on the bottom by Gary Custer. Iām still researching stamps on some of the other pieces.
I knew it! I knew it! I figured that had to be a Mitchell cuff. I absolutely love it. Iām not surprised the naja is by Gary
Custer. I love some of those rings too, especially the one on the lower left.
Edit: wait, I think you posted that cuff before maybe?
Thanks, here4turquoise! I live about as far east as you can go (an hour from the Atlantic), and donāt have the advantage of visiting western artisans. I have a friend who does estate liquidations and she lets me know whenever she comes across N/A items. Along with the bowl I bought several pieces of artwork that I havenāt yet taken pictures of. I can show them once I take the pictures, but Iām not sure if itās appropriate to show non-jewelry items here?
Yes, I did, ziacat. I always come here when Iām researching N/A items. Iām a vintage costume jewelry collector, and whenever one of our posters asks about a western piece, I send them here, telling them the people here are so friendly and knowledgeable .
We had a thread going on other Native American art that we have purchased through the years. You could also add pics to that; it might be fun since we have new people on here since it was last added to. Hereās the link.
Other Indian Art? I think it would be fine to add them to this thread cuz now Iām curious
You definitely have some very nice pieces. Let @Ziacat or me know if you decide to part with any of it. especially the Mitchell cuff.
Hereās the pictures I bought from my friend last weekend.
The pair of lithographs is signed Paul Goble. He wrote a lot of childrenās books with Native American themes. The sand drawing is by Sadie Akee.
This acrylic on board is titled, āRaven Speaks to Dragonfly,ā by Jim Nelson. The Wilde Meyer Gallery handles some of his work if you want to see more.
Unsigned Sun and Eagle sand painting.
Thanks for looking! - Amy
Thank you for sharing your art work. I really like them all but my eye was drawn to the sand paintings
