Reggie Mitchell jewelry

Yup…different types of heat. The bad part about dry heat is not realizing something (or someone) is dehydrating…just sucks all the moisture right out, unbeknownst until it’s too late. Like hanging out in an oven. Humidity sucks your will to live and makes you feel like a fat, swollen, sticky slug. :joy:

That man knows what he is doing❤️.
One day I will own one of his pieces. Gotta save up, though!

Does he only do special orders. His websites show his jewelry but NO items for sale. His “shop” link has been deactivated.

I believe he mostly sells through Instagram (maybe Facebook also, but I’m not sure on that) and at Native art markets. I bought my cuff at the Eiteljorg market in Indianapolis a few years ago.

Nope. None of the links to purchasing work on any of his sites.

I think people have to contact him directly to buy things. He gave me his email address when I bought my cuff in case I wanted to purchase anything else. I suspect he would sell anything that he posts on Instagram. @here4turquoise did you buy your cuff from him through Instagram?

I’m sure he does custom orders, but he does make jewelry and sell it not as custom order. @Stracci said he was at the Indian Art Market in Santa Fe this year. A couple years ago he was live on the Turquoise Skies site with his son selling a whole bunch of his jewelry. You had to be a member of their Facebook group (or something, I can’t remember exactly) to purchase.

Maybe he was forced to screen out the worthless inquiries. If serious, he has a contact page and phone number. Can’t blame him these days.

Mark Sublette posted this during (or right after) Indian Market, and he talks about seeing his work on instagram.

You are correct. His work is all over his sites. Just no method to purchase anything. And the links that did redirect to purchase are expired or dead links.

Interesting. I’m not on Instagram so I have no way of knowing. But with a contact page like you mentioned I assume that’s how people can get a hold of him. I had never heard of him before I purchased my cuff, but was drawn to his work when I saw it at the market in Indy in ‘23. I think I got a really good deal on the cuff I bought, and fortunately I found it then because he hasn’t participated in the Eiteljorg Market since. He and his son were incredibly personable, and loved talking about their work.

I did purchase a cuff from Reggie through Instagram. I contacted him just before our spring trip. We were trying to figure out when our paths might cross. Unfortunately, our schedules jive.

He sent pics of what he had made in my size and price range. This is the one I purchased.

Reggie is one artist that I go out of my way to watch. Little did I know when he was posting these videos that I would end up purchasing it. I was very fortunate to see the creation and thought process of my bracelet!

Reggie will do custom orders. Contact him by DM through Instagram. I am absolutely certain you will be pleased with the results.

Here is his video on how to measure your wrist.

Thanks @here4turquoise for the info! I am not planning on ordering anything from him in the near future, but possibly eventually. Maybe there are some other members on here that will. I partly credit his work for being the reason that I decided I needed to buy less (and up my budget ), and save up for items that were more special to me.

Your cuff is absolutely amazing, and so special that you got to see him make it on Instagram.
